    • Algal blooms

I have a messed yp immune system. I use windy to track pollution data so i can decide where to drive my camper to escape pollution, bush fires and pollen (wind direction).
I recently found out that i have massive problems with certain toxic algal blooms:
      https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.3c01158
This is a much bigger problrm than is widely recognised. As water sports people it is important to be informed of these blooms as they can be severely neurotoxic.

I found there was a satellite tracking algal blooms:

Any thoughts of adding a layer?

    • Pointless thumbnails instead of list

      Hi,

I have been using this app for a while. I use it for weather but mostly for pollution tracking it used to be a simple process to flick through the various options. Now the text telling you what data you are looking at is tiny but you have a massive thumbnail that doesnt help inform you what the map/layer is but does completely clutter the list that now takes up nearly the whole screen of my samsung s23 ultra. It also makes scanning the map/layer hard you have to look at each one. Tbh just because certain UI looks become fashionable does not make them functional or easy to use. You also force your users to generate new habits for no real benefit. This mistake has been made by microsoft and other Os makers so many times i would expect a young nimble company like yourselves not to fall into the same trap of changing things for looks.

      Kind regards
      Matt

    • Where do the pollution data come from?

Hi i am interested in where the pollution data come from. Specifically the SO2 and NO2?
Massive plume of sulphur dioxide showing from the tongan volcano over much of the pacific and northern australia. Just curious is theis modelled or from direct observation? If from observation is there an idea of what level of th atmosphere this sits at?
      Kind regards
      Matt
