Hi, I was wondering if Windy offer a reward for users who operate stations that provide weather data, like premium account access?

A good example of this model is Marinetraffic who give you their Pro / Pro plus account access for stations that upload realtime AIS shipping data, based on their range and monthly uptime.

If your uptime goes offline for an extended period, your access level drops.

@mattzilla Hello, it is possible that not all stations, reporting to Windy, are displayed on the map. Mainly PWS are not displayed, when any other stations (Airports, WMO) are close on the map.

Do you know why when I took the boat out and was closer to the nearest airport that it displayed, however when moved further away it disappears? There are no other stations on the island.

@Suty OIC, there is nothing that close at the moment (Have seen that when in very close proximity). In fact it was displaying when I was about a mile closer to the nearest station? If that is the case there is no point running it then, I will switch it off! Thanks.

Hi,
Have a roaming PWS and has been updating position fine until now.
Station doesn't show on map in app or webpage, however data is updating.
PWS is toggled and is on for stations

Any ideas?

Suggestion is that for users providing, maintaining hardware and uploading weather data as a PWS, access to Windy Premium features is given.
This would be similar to the Marinetraffic shipping program that offers premium access in return for users operating an AIS transmission station.
Thoughts?
