I'm banging my head against the wall here? Hope do I look at my current alerts and change them?
It's not intuitive at all. I'm sure I did it before on the app. Can't find it now. Please can someone screenshot some help.
Thanks so much

@mcgon this was to do with airplane mode. If you put the phone in airplane mode at night the app behaves weird in the morning when you turn off airplane mode. I restarted it and the granularity is back.
Clicking the one or three hour button just changes the forecast from 5 days to 10 days. The rain granularity is still 3 hours.
Latest android version.
What am I missing here?
The slimmer widget is a great idea. More real estate on my phone front screen now plus it's just as readable as the taller version. Good work.
Just providing an update on the bug in stock android 14 on pixel 7pro. Can anyone else reproduce this?
I can see the app has been updated because the current time is now represented by the broken line - rather than a short solid line. (Highlighted on the right).
When I click the widget to open this app view it always defaults to show weather 3 or 5 hours behind. See highlighted on the left. Would be amazing if you click the widget and it opens up the app to show the weather at the current time for the current location. Version 40.0.6
@Ondřej-Šutera I use this widget
Using it this morning I can't see the forecast is one hour behind not 3? Either way it never shows current forecast when I open the app by clicking the widget? Even if I refresh widget right before I click it to open the app.
actually I've just switched the forecast from 1 hour resolution to 3 got resolution and now I see a forecast that's in the future.
So this seems to be something to do with the forecast interval being switched between 1 or 3 hours. 1 hour intervals will show forecast from 3 hours ago. 3 hope intervals will show forecast from 1 hour in the future??
I launch the app by clicking the widget each time.
@Ondřej-Šutera version 39.3.2 August 29 2023.
Just launched the app again by clicking widget. Same issue. It shows a red line to indicate current time, bit it shows a forecast from hours ago. Why it does not default to further for current time once you launch app?
When I start the app (by clicking on widget) it shows me weather from 3 hours ago. See screenshot. You can see on the timeline it defaults to 3 hours ago instead of now.
@Ondřej-Šutera will do. I don't mind the "updating widget" constantly in the notification tray if it is necessary to have the widget up to date. It seems to be very up to date and accurate all the time now which is very good. In the past it needed manual updates if it was a few hours old data etc.
I'll let you know if I see anything unusual. 🙏
39.0.1 - June 6th update
I see that I get a notification regularly now 'widget updated'.
I never got that in older versions. Perhaps the older versions were doing a 'silent update' in the background without notifying the user? Or perhaps this new notification is by design? So this might not be a bug. Just feedback perhaps. It's certainly a change in behavior from previous versions. thanks
(btw this version of the app is very very nice to use. Lovely experience!)
Neil
@Ondřej-Šutera sounds good. I appreciate your reply and info about new version coming.
The question is... Why does my location keep reverting to a country and place I have not been in for weeks. I've uninstalled app etc. Where is it cached on my profile and why?
What happens every few hours.
@Korina sorry for delay. I was away in the US again. Not in Texas this time. I'm back in Ireland and location in windy widget still defaults to Texas. If I click refresh in the widget it finds my location in Ireland instantly.
I'm using pixel 7 pro in latest standard Android update. I'm using standard widget.. Image attached.
One more update which might help the developers reproduce and address.
I uninstalled the app from my phone and reinstalled fresh. The issue still exists so this is something that is cached in my profile rather than the app itself.
I've noticed that that the location in the widget is displayed correctly sometimes but the displayed temperature is from the other country I visited. You would not realise this except the other plafe is very hot so 20c+ difference.
Hmm... Something definitely not right here. Bug..
Location issues after I returned from 1 week of travel.
I am based in Dublin. I traveled to Texas with work last week, and since I've been home my location on the widget keeps reverting to show the weather where I was in Texas. If I click refresh on the widget it shows Dublin again correctly. Later on it will revert to show Texas again.
What do I need to do to stop it reverting to Texas? I tried removing and replacing widget. And also restarting phone.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall app?
Any suggestions?
Hi @petra-pik
The behavior I see is the same as @Thomy . However, I am in Dublin, and my location keeps reverting to London. When I click refresh on widget, it finds my local location correctly, but it resets to London after a while. Here is the information you asked for - hopefully it helps.
Version of app: 27.0102
Version of Android: 11 - Build RD1A.201105.003.B1
Android permissions: Location - 'Only while app is in use' (this is the only setting I can choose from Android app info page other than 'Ask every time' or 'Deny')
Widget Location setting - {My Current Location}
App Location setting - Start-up location: Use GPS
