I have tried to make contact with AEMET, and will continue to do so. This is not the first time it's been pouring with rain here, yet shown 'dry' on their radar. Yesterday was the worse example I've noticed. Literally over 8 hours of continuous rainfall over the island, none of which showed (until hour 9) on their radar! When you live on a small island - as anywhere I suppose - the exact alignment of radar imagary to the map is crucial.

RE: Spanish rainfall radar unreliable?
@idefix37 Thanks for response. Yes, I did that, and saw rainfall showing from 17.00. Only trouble, it actually started at 07.30, and has rained hard, non-stop all day! This was not shown on AEMET or Windy.

Spanish rainfall radar unreliable?
I live in Menorca where it has been raining hard all day long. Yet when I look at the Windy rainfall radar it has continually shown no rain here at all. Is the Spanish met office radar not reliable? They have shown a large area of rainfall constantly some 100km to the south west. Could they have a problem aligning images with maps correctly?

Will do so next time I discover a discrepancy. Thanks for the tip. -
RE: Your radar is wrong!
Hi @idefix37
Thank you for your response. I live in the middle of Menorca, just north of your arrow head. Not long after your 9.18 image the radar showed light to moderate rain clearing to the north by some 100km. Yet for a further 4 hours we continued to get heavy rain. (I was aware the radar dose not currently cover the east of the island).
I did wonder if the radar could have been out of alignment with the map, but this is why I posted my querry. -
Your radar is wrong!
There has been non-stop torrential rain all day in Menorca, yet your radar shows it's dry!
Explanation?
