First I'll start by telling you guys what a terrific job you've done with the site. As a software engineer myself I recognize the amount of work that went into it and it's very impressive. I have a recommendation, though it would serve no other purpose I can think of, it would be nice to be able to choose a sound effect for the lightning strikes. The default is a clicking sound and it's pretty quite. I'd like to be able to choose a .wav or .mp3 or similar sound file either locally or on the web, to replace the click sound. I can't imagine a serious use case, but it would be kinda fun.
