Embedding KML, GPX or GeoJSON file within URL as parameter
It would be an advantage for flight planning - especially for flight schools - if you could store the name of a KML, GPX or GeoJSON file as a parameter in he URL. Hence you will see immediately your flight triangels or flight routes.
Example:
https://www.windy.com/EDLN?radar,51.233,5.405,8&C:\flightplanning\edln.gpx -
RE: Soundings Model Data
@mnoll ; thks for this hint. Meanwhile I found the tool by myself.
I wonder about the poor vertical solution. Up to 6000 m there are only 6 points.
But I know that ICON DE har very much more vertical layers. -

Soundings Model Data
To begin with let me say that I am very pleased about the WINDY project and that I am an enthusiastic premium user of this platform, especially for meteorological flight planning. Therforee I give you some feedback in order to get even better:
If you selected a position within the map and select the context menu "aerology" you get the sounding based on ECMWF model, even if another model is selected within the airgram - wind - meteogram bottom menu. I would be very satisfied if the selected model will be displayed, especially the new ICON D2 model is of interest.
It would be great if there were additionally an option to zoom the layers from surface to FL 100 (700 hPa), because this is the airspace Golf and Echo, where VFR flights are taking place.
