There is a way to delete the legacy location searches from Windy, assuming you're using Android.

It will delete all your personalised setting too, but I don't alter much from default so that's not an issue for me.

If you go to and .... you can remove the historical location searches.

Clearing the cache alone does not seem to work.

You are right; I have become very 'black and white' in my old age! :-)

I enjoy cycling and walking, but not particulalry in the rain any more.

Windy was extremely accurat with it's basic weather forecast; so much so that I could virtually rely on it for the purpose of my excercize.

Now it seems to have lost that accuracy.

It's not the end of the owrld and so I have to now look closeley at the radar and satellite views ... play the 12 hour, 6 hour and 1 hour animations and then do my own forecasting.

It is very often quite different form the Windy basic forecast.

Apologies for the mundane earlier comment. Should have been better from someone who spent nearly 35 years in IT, including working with APKs.

I started using Windy when it first came out. It is a weather forecasting app. foremost but with so much more! Unfortunately, the simple forecasting is at least for me, totally unreliable. Clearly, I can go to the radar maps, for example, and do my own interpretation but I'm now having to do that every day. The Basic forecast is next to useless. A brilliant app. let down by the number crunchers.

I too now have noticed the clicking has stopped. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, checked speaker icon is activated and adjusted volume ... still no clicks?!
