For some reason I haven't been receiving notifications for the past month on my alerts.

I know that the alert conditions have been triggered because they give the blue bell icon in the list. They also have the red line underneath the conditions indicating where the criteria have been met.

I have alerts turned on for both my email address and my phone app.

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

Hi, would it be possible for Windy to obtain the ACCESS model from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for use in Windy? This model is more accurate in Australia

The notifications in Windy are really good, though there is definitely room to make them better

People have suggested adding in many features, such as percentage chance of any rain falling, so they can know when to go out and not be rained on

As well it has been suggested to be able to choose which model is used to send the notifications, plus I would like to see the ability to choose a timeframe for which you get the notifications (e.g get notifications 7 days ahead, 12 hours ahead, etc.)

There may be a worry from the developers though that the notification set up becomes overcomplicated for new users

I wonder if it would be a good idea for the notifications to have a basic mode and an advanced mode, that way there is the option for people to dive much deeper if they feel so inclined

With the advanced mode it would also be really good to eventually see ALL windy layers as options for the notifications (e.g fog, sea temperature) as well as perhaps multiple locations needing conditions to be met for a single notification to be sent. Though I think the features mentioned earlier would be better to see first.

But I'm quite disappointed with the new notification system, and I really hope it actually becomes improved soon

My current analysis of the new set up is

Cons:

• No ability to search through the notifications (Ctrl-F is already reserved)
• No alphabetical ordering of the notifications
• 4 separate screens for the set-up instead of just 1
• Having 2 separate systems for saving places (both favourites and notifications?)
• Having to manually tick/untick the sections when migrating the alerts, rather than it just being remembered

Pros:

• For me, none

I would say that choosing the model for the notification is good, but there is no option for ACCESS

I would say that having a custom description for the notification is good, but I only need a title to know what the notification means

I would say that the activity presets are good, but they have no real meaning to me

Again, I don't want to be a real saddo, but I hope that this can be fixed up some time soon

@idefix37 Nah it's definitely a glitch, it's just unglitched on my phone for some reason, so I can see the pencil again there, but on my PC it's still glitched

I'm wanting to reiterate what has already been mentioned in a couple of threads (https://community.windy.com/topic/38919/alerts-are-all-missing/ and https://community.windy.com/topic/37724/where-are-the-migrated-alerts/)

I'm glad these new alerts are finally getting there, though there are still a few features that are missing compared with how Windy used to be

• Sorting alerts alphabetically
• Showing triggered alerts at the top of the list
• Viewing the alerts on the map

I'm checking to see that this is definitely in the pipeline to be reimplemented soon?

Thank for you making a way to automatically migrate alerts

Unfortunately it has glitched and made 10 copies of each alert for each location

This would be fine for me to fix up but every time I remove one of these instances it reloads the entire list of alerts, which is annoyingly slow

It would take an excessively long time for me to remove 9 out of 10 alerts all of my alert locations

Can you fix this?

Hi,

I need help changing my email address back to what is was previously

It says that the email address I'm trying to change it to is taken by another user, but it's my email address

It must still have this old email on file from a previous change, and won't allow me to switch back

I believe this is the same issue as https://community.windy.com/topic/26403/email-change?_=1709633911363
