I've got two feedback thoughts on the feature described in https://community.windy.com/topic/9425/how-to-use-the-observation-vs-forecast-feature.

1. The right/wrong colouring in the floating box seems to have disappeared.
2. There's no indication of when the prediction was made on each model being evaluated. Ideally you'd be able to set the "lead" time - e.g. how far ahead the prediction was made, but at a minimum the various models should be evaluated with the same lead time. Why? It's easier to predict the weather for 24hrs ahead than for 120hrs.

I've read this and a couple of other threads about this issue - please do not direct me and others to yet more other threads.

Windy's behaviour towards its paying subscribers is not encouraging here.

1. You've known about the problem for about a month.
2. You appear not to have metrics on how many users this impacts - which should be easy for such a code-heavy client side, and given the substance of the change you've made it beggars belief you didn't introduce the metrics at the same time.
3. The bug is misleading and in extreme cases potentially dangerous.

Let's just unpack the layers:
i) You've changed an important default for paying and free users without making it very obvious in the UI.
ii) That change seems commercially driven.
iii) The workaround offered to paying users doesn't work.
iv) You've wasted people's time pretending to take the issue seriously, but your visible actions suggest otherwise.

I think it's time for some proactive communication to paying users - this is not just an annoyance.
