Icon D2 is normally updated every three hours and ICON EU is sometimes called Icon EU flash, because they provide a shorter time window for the actualization between the six hours-window. It is a kind like ECMWF with the difference of eight runs a day (ICON) versus four runs (ECMWF). Best regards, Michael

As I mentioned earlier in a different thread, the german DWD has eight runs per day for ICON D2 and ICON EU. Windguru and Kachelmann use these data for actualization every three hours, but Windy does not. I would prefer using Windy alone instead of paying for different weather services, so this ‚feature‘ would be nice, as the more actual data are my main reason for paying premium. Thank you!

@Ondřej-Šutera thank you, this Information is well known. But some weather data provider offer more and Windguru, Ventusky and others reflect it. I like the gui of windy very much, but if it is not state-of-the-art, I cannot use it seriously.

It is very uncomfortable to use a so called premium service that is not able to load actual data at the interval of the weather service. DWD offers actual data every three hours, Windy only gives you new data every six hours. MeteoBlue actualizes every twelve hours, I think. Windy gives you new data only once per day. It is crucial to rely on actual data, especially for the high resolution models. Why can't you implement it? I asked for it several month ago but nothing happened. Hope you will change it soon. @ColtonAxel DWD updates its ICON D2 model every three hours (and even ICON EU), which is not used by windy.com. I really would appreciate it because others like windguru or Kachelmannwetter do use these data. Korina wrote, that you will look at it. Until now I am waiting for an answer if it will be implemented in windy. Premium would be in my opinion, if you give us the best data available. Thank you!

DWD updates Icon EU and Icon D2 model every three hours. As far as I see, Windy only updates every six hours. Why doesn‘t Windy use these data to be more actual?

@idefix37 as you see, the comparison in your foto is missing. There are green or red dots which show, if the model agrees with the real situation. You cannot find them on iPhone.

Compare station weather with forecast works for me on iPad Pro, but not on iPhone. There is only the station weather to be seen, although I can choose the model to compare with. What do I wrong? Thank you!
