There was no follow up to a post regarding an inquiry into why route planning can only support one forecast model. I use NAM-AK and HRRR-AK for marine forecasting and it is typically more accurate. I would like to be able to use these models when route planning as well, but not sure why we can't. Thanks for you help.

Was there ever an answer to this question? I prefer to use HRRR-AK for piloting ships in SE Alaska and it can be more accurate in many cases. Thanks
