@idefix37 It seems that storing past data for at least a day or two is ideal. I'm trying to figure out the exact conditions for perfect sailing. I go out and come in and the data is gone. It would be helpful if I could keep a log of what worked/didn't work because from a prediction perspective, often the conditions on different days were the same. However, in realit weather, and especially wind, changes and shifts frequently or can be just slightly from a different direction than predicted, sometimes just within hours. Since Windy has the data, why not store it for a day or two at least so that kiters and surfers can make notes?

Kite/windsurf location doesn't appear with icon
I've been using your kite/windsurfing map overlay to plan a trip. I like that it has the liter icon, making it easy to see popular areas for the sport. However I notice that one of my favorite spots (Fon Du Lac) doesn't show up with an icon on the lake, even tho there are several known popular locations on that lake. Does Windy require that a weather station there report to it to be considered a wind/kitesurfing spot and get the little icon status on the locations overlay map ?
