yes if i turn on animations. i cannot get back the ordinary animations slow short lines
Also my windy.com website on firefox gives crazy reads. It is windspeed 30mph here now and firefox has it about 1500 mph

There is no best setting.
Basic shows different parameters (rain, clouds, temperature, wind, gusts…)predicted by a weather model that you select.
Wind displays the wind and gusts predicted by all models available in Windy, and so you can compare them.

37 G:53 means the averaged wind is 37 knots and gusts 53 knots, if you selected knots for wind speed unit.

Thanks but it was not that. i have discovered it is particles animation under ECMWF and GFS. I can turn them off but cannot get 'normal' particles

what is the best setting just to see wind speed, basic or wind?
I do not understand the wind setting what does 20 G:36 mean on aflag emanating from a circle? There are other flags too

Can someone tell me what error I made on firefox to have the view as in the screenshot? I want to go back to the view with the wind 'blowing' across the map
