    • RE: About Windy

As a former systems programmer now retired and a weather analyst since childhood, I was astounded when I first came across this program and now I am loving it, customizing each map to my liking.

I have the greatest respect for you and your team. Somewhere I saw your picture with a goat. I have to find it again because I want a better look at the both of you but anyway, congratulations on an excellent system! My hat is off to you.

This seems to be fixed. Please ignore.

A super app! See my recent Reply to a post complaining about the recent colors. My color scheme for a deep Low, Hurricane type looks like a Black Hole! I always use 2 or more views so readers can easily see the whole picture.

I appreciate your not charging! I am 75 years old and on very limited income. I can do a one time fee if not too much
(< $7.50) but can’t do yearly. I LOVE the product and would hate to lose it!!!

@kenpallas I’m using the app on my iPad. Got it from the Apple App Store.

If you use the iOS app with iPad, in Settings you see « Customize color scale » but this feature is blocked.
In fact if you want to modify colors of the iOS app, you must do it on desktop via the website.
Or .... you can do it directly on iPad but you need to use the mobile website windy.com, not the iOS app.

I just tapped on your Windy.com link and it brought me to a new map. Now I’m REALLY confused. Is this what I used before without knowing it? I’m getting a migraine headache 🤕

@idefix37 ~ When I go to YouTube this is automatically changed to “Desktop mode” by their software. I’m thinking it was also the case with Windy, or something similar, but now it’s gone?
I sent a trouble report about a year ago and it seemed to be fixed but now, with the latest version update, it’s gone. Perhaps with all the new features, bells and whistles, it became too difficult to reprogram!
I would much rather have the old version back 😢 (🤬).

I don’t understand. The feature always worked before. So what is the purpose of blocking it now? Why❓

    • RE: Find location by its coordinates

@ivo Yes, it does work well but I tried it on my own and could have saved a bit of time if it was somehow made a “visible” option, but not a big deal. Just glad it works. Wish I could force the location to become the default for me. Maybe I can turn off Location for the program?

    • RE: Hate new colour scheme

I build my own color schemes which is one of the coolest features of the app. Going to try to attach two from right now.
      Too big. Will try separate.
