I figured out how to create the flight plan. Ibsee the weather pointer is used for this, but can the weather pointer ho back to its previous function?

I am a private pilot in the US and am new to Windy. I am trying to figure out how to use Windy for 10-VFR weather planning. I have been doing this a long time using a different tool from NOAA, where I compare the POP12, expected weather, Temp and Dewpoint every 3 or 6 hours over 7 days to determine the liklihood of good VFR weather for my trip and return trip. (See 7-day VFR Weather planning at AirFactsJournal.com to get more detail.)
I have the airports in windy highlighted and they mostly appear as green circles, but some of them are different colors. What do the different colors indicate? They do not appear to change color with weather.
I have barely experimented with the route tool, but how do you get the route to stay in place as you look at different weather data over your route? It seems that I have to leave the route tool, which erases the route to look at different data. Is thare a way to display the route contiuously as I look at different aspects of weather data?

RE: Tutorial or user help?
@korina Good morning. Thank you for replying to my question. I am pretty busy for the next few days but I have lots of questions I'd like to ask. May I ask you? May I send you a couple of screen pics to help illustrate my questions? Thank you in advance for your help.
Tutorial or user help?
I am interested in setting up so I can see certain forecast data populated on the map and change as I scroll forward in time. The numbers I like are % probability of precip, temp & dewpoint, cloud bases and tops. I am having difficulty getting the information I like to use to estimate my good flying days and locations.
Is there a tutorial that can help me understand how to get the information I want?
Thanks in advance
