@petra.pik Any further on this? I'd also like a "jump to live" button. Less desirable, but also workable, would be having the playback controls have a "stop at end" option; then I could drag 10 minutes into the past, hit play, and know that the playhead has stopped at the "live"/"latest" position.

In case it helps you to know why I care: in the afternoons leading up to outdoor sports, living near mountains, I watch the weather radar obsessively throughout the afternoon trying to predict when it might be safe to go out, how likely it will be that we need to call off games. I occasionally drag the playhead into the future to gauge the speed of the storms, and then need to futz around to try and get it back to "live" mode.

@Gkikas-LGPZ Ha! :) No, this would not be for use during games. There is already a lightning detector at the fields. This is in the tense hours leading up to evening games, as storms are rolling in off the mountains, and I'm trying to predict if I'll get to play that night or should be making other plans. :)

When I play the radar history, I'm trying to get a feeling for which direction the storms are moving. When playback loops upon reaching the end I lose track of where it is last known, and it also throws off my direction and ability to predict.

I'd love an option (or change) to pause playback when reaching the end, sticking to the latest data.

The only exception would be that pressing "play" when the playhead is already at the end should start it over at the beginning.

Re: Range ring(s) overlay

I'd love to see a tool that allows the user to pick a point (default to current location) and overlay rings at specified distances.

Use case: playing outdoor sports the league has a policy that lightning within 6 miles requires everyone to clear the fields for 30 minutes. I want to be able to watch storms as they near that location, and have a 6 mile ring that lets me guess if the storms are going to come close enough to be a problem or not.

Settings section has a lot of units (with an odd alternation of which side metric and imperial are on...but I digress). Measuring distance shows km and Nm (I assume nautical miles), with no way to see the distance in miles.

Please have pity on a poor American who just can't think in km, and add a Setting for distance units, and include "miles".
