@Polina-Nozdrina
Is it cloud or cookie-based/saved now?
I like to delete cookies, when closing the browser and don´t want to rearrange all my custom edits every time :)
THX, Windy gets better and MUCH more usable with the new user interface. Big steps in the right direction!!
Edit:
Tested now and yes -> cloudbased :)
Now please make the menu/ settings completely cloudbased. For example my home - the first opened spot - always gets exchanged by another spot. Weatherdangers aren´t shown for my town this way.

Great !1!

Yes, I also find it very frustrating that Windy don´t give any hints of danger in the normal layers. The weatherwarning page is hidden between other layers and cannot be pinned as a favorite (closing browser -> deleting cookies) in the menu.
Sorry for repeatingly critisizing this again. They have to work at it.
@idefix37
Hi and thx for your efforts.
Maybe I have derailed the thread slightly. Hopefully the devs will consider a clearer way in future releases. Like it is now, it´s not the quickest way and just feels like a workaround.
@idefix37
Hi idefix37,
this is not exactly what I mean.
I want to know about weatherextremes worldwide. From flooding to fire to storm -> not by the weatherwarning layer but by written text. To get some local wheatherwarnings isn´t the deal for me. It´s just okay. I wouldn´t get notified when I don´t live in your town. That´s simply behind "premium".
Think in global climate dimensions and we surely will get knocked by extremeweather in future. I want to see that.
For example Zürich. It´s orange in weatherwarning layer. But when I open the normal wind layer and look at Zürich I will not get an extra warning by default.

There´s nothing popping up. That´s what I miss.

The orange field is a link which leads to this:

@vuledu
I didn´t mean it should to be like on TV. Weatherwarnings should be BETTER in Windy THAN TV.
I know I can open the weatherwarning layer, which I have to select, decrease the size of the map and than look for the warnings around the globe. It´s just not snappy. My wish is that I could read somewhere in Windy like a Blog or a newsticker that a wheatherextreme is coming for that or that region in the world -> then I would open the map (perhaps with a link) and look for it.
I think weatherwarnings are one of the weakest points of Windy.
@Andrew-M-2
Yes,
different app.
Windy isn´t topnotch.
@vuledu
Hi,
I would like to suggest that we could have access to global weatherwarnings like a newsticker. The actual way is not very smart. Do I want to get information from TV in the first place when I´m premium in Windy?
All big wheather-extremes in this summer (Spain, Greece, Italy etc.) weren´t really pointed out in the Windy app. This feels not really snappy to me.
Hi Andrew, best overview is shown @ Meteo-Parapente. Simple and perfect.
@anthony10 :
Ventusky is brilliant in its usability, clear and easy layed out.
THX.
Yes,
less is more!
This must be fun for people who like to lose themselves in data and overwhelming visuals.
I agree about the poor warnings!
When I load the forecast of a favourite spot doesn´t pop up a warning when there actually IS a critical wheathersituation. I have to look to the radar and see thunderstorms over there.
Windy is IMO overdeveloped and unnecessarily cluttered -especially the desktopversion.
As a paraglider I need to see the hard facts at first glance!
I think the whole Windy Desktop GUI is clunky.
Very distracting to have to have to step through many pages and preferences that are not saved when logged out and delete cookies automatically.
