Alternatively, is it possible to gain access to the conditions panel (at bottom of display) that is open in the route planner plugin for the purpose of moving the scrubber programmatically?

Goal: Show animation of planned route along with selected forecast layer
Purpose: Crew briefing and departure planning meetings
Need: Access to the route data along with forecast data "ready" indicator

I could not find related questions. Forgive me if I've missed some prior discussion.

I would like to animate the position indicator over the route based upon the given speed and the Haversian distance travelled in a given timeframe (perhaps 1 hour).

In order to do this I would need access via the API to the route data and some indication that the selected forecast layer data has been loaded/displayed/isReady/etc. in order to sync the movement of the position indicator and the display of the forecast at that time.

May I please request API access to these facilities?

If not, may I turn this concept into a feature request?

EDIT: I should probably mention I would use something like moving-marker leaflet plugin.
