The update is garbage, widgets still broken

So let me tell you a story. I used to use AccuWeather for 5+ years before, they introduced a horrible new UI that is still there years later. Luckily Windy had an app and I switched to it, as I was using it in Desktop mode.

So it is possible I can find another replacement to Windy, because companies that force new, worse UX on users don't deserve my time and money

@Korina It's foolish to force users into the UX you as a developer wants.

A good way to solve this would be to simply have a setting to toggle between a list view or thumbnail view...

Would be super nice and helpful to show the current temperature from the current location/a location as a notification, similar to how AccuWeather does. It would make me uninstall AccuWeather as it's the only reason I have it installed

25% more reason not to pay if you ask me. The value is simply not there. And how they will make you pay? Slowly remove features that were there for free.

The typical negative-value (paywalling) incentive. Instead of providing value to make you pay, you take away value from people who do not.

Not listening to user feedback says a lot about the current state of things, I will stop being a premium member after many years... it's sad to move on but what's the alternative? Being told that nono you as the user are using the product wrong? That's the worst thing you can say as a company.

Pixel 8 Pro here, came from Pixel 7.

The radar is very low resolution and looks bad. Text is hard to read and not crisp

Need some buttons to skip exactly 24h ahead/behind in time.

It would be really useful to be able to quickly see how things look at the same time of day but on different days...

EDIT: It stopped working for the RADAR, "permanent" Updating Windy notification like before...

Is Windy pro-Russian? Why are they using the old and russified version of Moldova's capital name?

Thank you! I also find the accuracy of the widget (using the "best" model for me) concerning. It doesn't show rain at all, when it will obviously rain.

Like you I do not see a reason to move forward with Windy Premium or even Windy as I gave Windy the benefit of the doubt last year with the UI change... it's been a year and it's only gotten worse/stagnated in some areas.

@Suty But is it something you will look at or? I think it's very useful to see what e.g. the temperature is like 24h from now, gives you a better sense of how the temperature is progressing throughout the days while looking at the Temperature map, for example.

@Suty Yes, but you can still do it, just differently than it is now. Again, fade it OUT not IN. Or remove the colors as you progress into the simulation. It becomes hard to read towards the end of the simulation, because the opacity of latest live info is the same as the prediction.

You can also try capping it at a max 50% opacity for the current (diamond) live info. But like it's now, it's hard to read honestly

You have 3 options or so to make it easier to read
