RE: In the "predicted" Radar, newest current data should fade out not in.
@Suty Yes, but you can still do it, just differently than it is now. Again, fade it OUT not IN. Or remove the colors as you progress into the simulation. It becomes hard to read towards the end of the simulation, because the opacity of latest live info is the same as the prediction.
You can also try capping it at a max 50% opacity for the current (diamond) live info. But like it's now, it's hard to read honestly
You have 3 options or so to make it easier to read

In the "predicted" Radar, newest current data should fade out not in.
The data in hex fades in as we go further into the prediction. But that is wrong, it should fade out! Why? Because now it is hard to read:
Either decrease saturation of it, while fading it in, like it currently does. Or just fade it out... Better yet, have it as an option.

RE: Low resolution for the radar widget
@MarkNagy i get that, but I didn't see it on my Pixel 7. The display on the 8 Pro does have a higher resolution, but not high enough to explain the difference if you ask me?
If it's an android issue it needs to be raised through the developer channels to Google so they fix it or add an option to not do what you mentioned

RE: Low resolution for the radar widget
Hi, the issue came back by itself today, still sounds like a bug to me. Probably with scaling/DPI

RE: Low resolution for the radar widget
@Suty That worked actually! That was the only thing I did not try.
Would it be possible to do this through the settings in the widget itself? A "Reset" button in the widget settings?

Low resolution for the radar widget
Pixel 8 Pro here, came from Pixel 7.
The radar is very low resolution and looks bad. Text is hard to read and not crisp

RE: Skip 24 hours ahead/behind in time
@Ondřej-Šutera Hi, any updates? I still think it would be great to have this to easily see day to day progression of e.g. temperature or humidity etc.

Extrapolate radar data?
Hi, would it be possible to have an extrapolated view of the radar? What would it be? Basically the ability to "preview" the movement of the latest cloud data in the future.
You can see this feature in action on https://www.dmi.dk/lokation/show/DK/2618425/København/#location
Basically use the predicted wind and the "Now" data and extrapolate.

RE: Please add solar wind and aurora forecasting
@jimini-tin That would be amazing :D

Surface dryness view?
Hi, I do a lot of inline skating so knowing the potential to be wet of e.g. asphalt, is crucial.
I am wondering if there is something that could help me infer this more easily than just sifting through a bunch of views and trying to make a guess.
I am thinking of maybe "dew point" but I don't quite understand how to interpret what it means and if it even applies to this?
Ground surface wetness, as far as I can tell, is something that I can infer from a few things. Previous days precipitation, current relative humidity, current temperature trajectory, previous day(s) windiness and sun.
All these combined can give a semi-accurate probability of the ground being very wet, wet, kinda wet, dry and very dry.

RE: Windy 39 is here. Learn how to masterclass new features
So let me tell you a story. I used to use AccuWeather for 5+ years before, they introduced a horrible new UI that is still there years later. Luckily Windy had an app and I switched to it, as I was using it in Desktop mode.
So it is possible I can find another replacement to Windy, because companies that force new, worse UX on users don't deserve my time and money

RE: Windy 39 is here. Learn how to masterclass new features
@dies2much That would be too useful for Windy to focus on
-
RE: Pointless thumbnails instead of list
@Korina It's foolish to force users into the UX you as a developer wants.
A good way to solve this would be to simply have a setting to toggle between a list view or thumbnail view...

RE: Windy 39 is here. Learn how to masterclass new features
The update is garbage, widgets still broken
-
RE: Please bring back the weather picker as before
Not listening to user feedback says a lot about the current state of things, I will stop being a premium member after many years... it's sad to move on but what's the alternative? Being told that nono you as the user are using the product wrong? That's the worst thing you can say as a company.

RE: Unhappy with the update
@Ondřej-Šutera I fully reinstalled it seems to work
EDIT: It stopped working for the RADAR, "permanent" Updating Windy notification like before...

RE: Unhappy with the update
@Ondřej-Šutera I am just curious if you guys did user-testing with the new UI? Because judging by the people in this forum, many are unhappy with the changes. So I am sure if you did user-testing people would've brought these concerns up.

RE: Unhappy with the update
For me the biggest issue is the Widgets are totally broken on my Pixel 7. There are many people complaining about this in the newest 1 star reviews on the Google Play.

RE: Skip 24 hours ahead/behind in time
Hi, anyone have any updates on this? I believe it would be very useful to be able to do this, and it should not be complicated to implement..
