    • Fahrenheit vs Celsius Playing together

This is maybe only for me but I'm in the US. I use metric for measurements and most work stuff but I always used Fahrenheit for weather.

So recently I'm trying to convert my brain to Celsius for weather etc. I use your site for Fahrenheit and another site for Celsius. I go back and forth to re-enforce a temperature across both system.

My request is: Add a feature that would allow both systems to be shown maybe on a special page to help us poor US folks to learn.

      Thanks

    • Small new requests

I use the app multiple times a day on Windows and Android. My area is better suited to Metroblue forecast and it would be nice to be able to default that as the one that opens.

2nd change would be to darken and increase the font on the forecast panel for the time and the day/night icons. Tough to read unless on a perfect system and at night.

    • RE: Temperature forecast accuracy

@idefix37 Thanks. I actually used the comparison to plot the different models for a month. Metroblue was the most accurate, but still way off many days. Interesting the local new forecasts are close so they must modify a model to fit the local area.

    • RE: Temperature forecast accuracy

I forgot to add: I live in the Charleston, SC area US... about 22 miles inland from the Atlantic. Flat land with a rather large lake to the west of me about 10 miles. I'm within a national forest (pine trees).

    • Temperature forecast accuracy

I must live in an anomaly. All of the available forecast systems do not predict a very accurate temperature for me. Most times the are off by 5 F to 8 F. This morning I had a low of 17 F, the forecasts were off by as much as 15 F. Meteoblue was the closest. My temperature is not wrong as others in the area are in the same 1 degree agreement.

Do other folks have the same issue?

    • Comparison of windy forecasts to my weather unit

My weather Station almost always is substantially different than any of the professional forecasts sometimes as much as 5 to 7 degree F. My weather station reports consistently with other local stations, so my station is not off to any degree. Today for example at 7 am Eastern US, all of the forecasts had 40 to 44 F. My station was 35F.

Is there any way to compare my station's reading with the published forecasts.?

Even better is there perhaps an adjustment value that can be entered, maybe for 4 different times of the day against a forecast.?

    • Local Adjustment to temperature forecasts

I use the forecast for temperature but at night I always need to manually adjust the low temperature I will see from the forecasted one. Last night for example, most of the forecast systems had the low at 43 to 45F. but it got to 33F ... thus off by a minimum of 10F. I have a weather station and it pretty much is in line with local professional places that track weather.

So it would be nice to allow another model (your own) to view which is your locally adjusted model to one of the available models.

    • Supporting amateur weather stations

I would love to see Windy support amateur weather stations and be able to see their data (a la weather underground). I was a long time WU participant but with their demise of quality and frankly their non caring for the amateur weather station I no longer post any data there. I'm not giving free data to an organization that doesn't deserve it.

So.... is there any future for Windy to add some equipment APIs so that the large number of amateur (at least in the US) to post data.
