      The new ui is much harder to use. You have to sort through a forest of pictures. The readings for a site only display for a moment before disappearing.

      @Suty Great!

      The Observatory now relies on windy.com for all of its weather forecasting since all of the "astronomical" forecasts are really for a nearby city 2500 feet below us. The sounding has been a real saver since it gives us a picture not only of clouds but also how likely a temperature inversion is and the likelihood of humidity. I can still access the information on my iPad using the app, but losing the browser version has caused problems.

      and I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am now on Tahoe (MacOS 26)

      This is still a problem in 47.1.3. See the post on the sounding feedback page https://community.windy.com/topic/21263/new-sounding-with-radiosonde-measurements/117

    • RE: New sounding with radiosonde measurements

      There is still a problem with scrolling the sounding chart in 47.1.3 on a Mac Sequoia. I have tried it on both Safari and Chrome. While it is possible to pinch zoom the chart using a track pad that puts the current temps off screen. I have not figured out a way to zoom the temperature axis. Horizontal scroll does not work. If you have be careful with pinch zoom on a trackpad as that also invokes another mac function.

      I seem to recall that before about last month when you zoomed the sounding zoomed to full screen. That no longer happens

    • Sounding image expand not working in 47.1.0

      When you press the icon to expand the sounding it does expand, but on MacOS Safari and Chrome you are unable to drag it to view the parts of the sounding that are off screenScreenshot 2025-09-08 at 10.33.20.png

      No combination of keys changes the cursor to a drag.

    • Sounding charts Altitude display overlays cloud predictions

      We are finding that the sounding display is the most useful output from the program. One problem is that the altitude display overlays the cloud prediction. Our observatory is located at 850m and low clouds are an almost daily occurrence. This could be improved if the alititude display could be placed just to the right of the cloud prediction.
