Hi Windy team,
I just wanted to express my appreciation for Windy.com — it's truly my all-time favorite weather platform, and I’ve been happily sharing data from my personal weather station with you for a while now. I absolutely love the detailed features and the beautiful user interface, which keeps me coming back every day.
That being said, I’ve noticed that other weather-related platforms, such as Windguru (another site I’m fond of), offer certain incentives to users who contribute their station data. For instance, they provide special perks or recognition for data contributors, which really fosters a sense of community and encourages more sharing.
On top of weather data, I also share ADS-B and AIS data with a few other services, and I’ve noticed a similar approach — they all have some form of appreciation or incentive for users who contribute data, whether it's special access to premium features or even just a shirt, badge or acknowledgment.
I believe this kind of recognition could further enhance the experience on Windy and encourage more users to share their data, which would ultimately benefit the entire community. I would love to see Windy adopt something similar in the future, as it would only reinforce the strong bond we have with the platform.
Thank you for all the hard work you do, and I’m excited to continue being part of the Windy community!

I agree that a "drone safe flight layer" would be great.
Electromagnetic disturbances risk forecast and realtime measure / KP¨index, cloud base (visibility), rain (radar), restricted flight zones (many countries implemented that in SIG solutions) with max flight altitude are some of the things drone pilots need.
Quite the datas from UAV Forecast, but the windy (better) way !
Set a location and time period for the flight and get all these informations at once !
