Please bring back the 'advanced feature' I like to see all my preferred layers available as a line of graphic icons - as before. Much easier to use.

RE: Appearance
There is one good thing about the new desktop UI, that is the convenient button to show isobars on the satellite view.
However, the rest of the new UI is terrible, confusing, much more difficult to use than the old one. The phrase "if it works, don't fix it" comes to mind.
Please, please go back to the old design. I'm starting to look around for an alternative.

Satellite layer not updating
Hello Windy Team,
Since your last change the Satellite view is not updating. I've attached 2 screenshots taken 1hr 38mins apart to show the problem, during this time the pc was unattended. Thanks for your help.

RE: Please add weather fronts (Warmfront and cold front)!!!
Hi,
I would also like synoptic features, i.e. weather fronts. Also it would be great if the surface isobars were on by default.
Thanks -
Slide button to show isobars not active in satellite view.
Hello,
Web/Desktop version.
Since this morning, 19th Aug. 2025, the slide button to show the isobars in the satellite view is no longer active. I usually have the satellite view display during the day, unless I need other information, and the isobars are essential to understand the current state of the weather.
Is this intentional or a bug?
(The Android app works as normal)
Many thanks for your help.

RE: ¿Con la última actualización ya no se puede ver presión atmosférica en el modo satélite?
@nmoc.weather I totally agree with you.
@Suty I understand the desire for consistancy of your approach but you say "since isolines are basically forecasted data but these layers provide real-time data." are you saying that the layers in which the isobars are displayed are not realtime data or at least the latest report from Wx stations? @nmoc.weather is correct, the isobars are needed for a complete picture of the general Wx state.
Please reconsider this decision.

No, isobars are not real-time data and do not come from the latest weather station reports
Yes I know, I was referring to the other layers such as 'temperature'. I didn't explain myself well. I understand that you don't want to overlay real-time data (satellite or radar) with forecast data (isolines). However you are happy to overlay real, not real-time but nonetheless real data, such as temperature, humidity etc. with forecast data, i.e. isolines. Apart from the fact that temperature data, for example, is bound to be historic, if only by a few hours, you appear to be mixing forecast data, isolines, with real/historic data. I can't see you objection to showing isolines with satellite and radar. You have a very good product here and, as a retired programmer, I appreciate the work required to produce Windy.
Please reconsider your isoline decision.
Thank you.

Sismic activity request
Re: Tectonic plates and sismical activity
Hi, It would be great to have a real time seismic activity layer. This would be really useful living in an area that regularly has small (mag 2 or 3) and occasionally larger (4.7 today just south of Lisbon) quakes.
Thanks

Seismic layer
Hi, Great site and app. Now my main weather source.
Have you ever thought of adding a seismic layer? Here is an example from IPMA, the Portuguese weather service: https://www.ipma.pt/pt/geofisica/sismicidade/
Thanks.
