I am ok with the update but I do NOT It like at all the new side menu. Its now slow to navigate and the menu pops out so slow, I can make coffee will it comes out from the side
I liked that small menu because it allows me to MUCH faster go through the different weather layers. The big icons might look cool, but they all look the same to the eye and it takes me a lot more time to find the icon…. And each time it rolls out when I want to change.

This change was clearly done by a UI designer and not by somebody who actually needs to use the application to understand the weather throughly.

Thanks in advance to bring the old style menu back!

@Ondřej-Šutera I think others did say it aswell. I am currently using favourites because it's better than the large list of icons.

When flying (VFR) I am using 16 layers. I am also using the different forcast models...
so the icons really look so much the same, like fog, visibility, low clouds and clouds are all 'grayish' so I need to read the little letters to find the right one.
I very muched liked where all clouds where grouped under a clouds text menu.

On the ipad the letters are really small, and the icons look all the same, and I cannot order them, tried long tap and drag on each image to move them around like we can do on iPad and I think Android.

On a mobile I can understand the UI where you can move the map. However on iPad it’s much faster to tap on a location to get the weather rather then moving the underlaying map.

As a non English speaking person for me the meaning is the same. I pay for a annual fee or a yearly fee.

Soo, what is the difference? Is buy for one year. Not he same as annual but annual is just automatic for a other year?

When it says that it is 1.6€ a month, does that mean I can cancel any month?

@kubasworld You are not wrong that it takes ages, I was over aggregating here... But there no need to let it scroll in and out that 'slow' it can be at least 4 times faster, the old menu was a lot faster when opening each submenu.

New windy during rearrangements all icons shake a lot, can this be reduced or by other means indicate that we are in 'rearrangement mode'. Drives me crazy :D

Same here.. I get a black screen and a crash, or the screen flickers fast and then the application crashes. During the flicker I can also not interact with the application

1. since the UI has changed again... we also need to re-arrange again our preferences. In firefox during these rearrangements the screen and icons flikkers a lot. like a LOT...

2. We also see that between browsers and devices settings are often 'reset' to default, or just changed...

Hate to say it, but it's still a frustration to work with Windy on the app..

hello, any new on this subject? The menu's are still very messy and have not seen any changes regarding proper orders of the menu's, not even under the pin.

Cloud, Cloud base and visibility is still all over the place and the icons still make it hard to see which is which..

@idefix37 Oo dang yes that really helps!

It still disappears as soon as I select the side menu to find a different wind aloft.
I rather have that side menu stay open + the info on the weather picker stays open so we can select each altitude and the weather picker shows the information at each altitude. so that you won't have to close it each time..

here is a other item that makes it harder to work with the new update

Often when flying we need to get temperatures and winds aloft and various points to calculate our navlog.

So when I go to window and find a location then on the top the wind and directions appears for a few seconds. As soon as I want to select a different altitude, the box on the top of the screen disappears and I need to close the menu to make it appear again... I need to do this 5 times per location (yes I would love to have an API where I can automate my navlogs, but here we are... it's only 2023 so we do it by hand hahah) ok... Ahummm

So it would be super more convenient that the top menu stays much longer or perhaps when I select a different layer or when I want to click it away. When I then select a different altitude then that box can image immediately.

PS: use focus groups in each area of usage (Flying, surfing, sailing, soaring etc... ;)
