I agree, without the text label next to the icon it is not clear what the icon represents. Please keep the text labels at all times and keep the icons in a single row. Double row just looks messy and adds to the confusion.

I agree. The radar has become almost unusable in some cases. The interpolated motion of rainclouds is so erratic and random that it becomes difficult to see where the rainclouds are actually going. Especially when zoomed in to local mountainous areas.

My suggestion: Have the option to turn of this interpolation, at least until a far better motion prediction algorithm is implemented.
For satellite images we already have the option to disable smooth animation, please have an option to disable this for radar images as well.
