I mostly compare ECMWF,, ICON and GFS and take "average" of forecast. Overall GFS seems to give more extreme numbers (max/min temperatures, precipitations etc.). From the point of view of the resulting success, it is different, and comparing forecasts is therefore a perfect opportunity to get a more accurate idea for the given moment.
