I have noticed last storm season, the windy.com lightning tracker failed to show many lightning strikes in storms around Cairns & Atherton Tablelands. Another service I subscribe to, through weatherzone.com.au seemed to show them far more accurately. I can upload videos showing comparable views of the same storm, if you allow me.

I suspect you are using Blitzortung and there’s not a local sensor in this area to accurately supply that network?
