    • RE: Wind Gusts Font - Again

      @Korina

      Hi and thanks for the quick reply. I don't get it, what needs to be thought about when all that's needed is a change of font size and or marking it bold?

      There's no change to the layout of the wind gusts bar that should adversely affect anything, really, just a simple font change....

      Could you elablorate more on the "significantly change the appearance of the app" as I said, doesn't make sense.

      Cheers

    • Hurricane Tracker

      Hi, just a quick suggestion about your Hurricane Tracker info panel which shows up on the l/h side of the screen.

      Could you apply a function/button that collapses this to the side so that it does not take up 1/3 of my screen real estate.

      I live in the Philippines and with this site and JTWC they are the only apps I rely on to give me accurate data about the track of the hurricane so that I can prepare if needed to withstand the onslaught.

      At this stage the option is closing the panel, but that then also 'closes' the hurricane tracking.

      Future option/function maybe?

      Cheers and keep up the great work

    • Wind Gusts Font - Again

      G'day, since no 'action' has been taken, this is a regurgitation of the same type of request from last year.

      The font and 'visibility' of the numbers in the wind gust row are 'unreadable' when the colour changes to the 'extreme' wind speeds. The font is TOO small and needs to highlighted (ie: bold setting applied) so this becomes readable.

      My request for this is because I live in 'Typhoon Alley' in the Philippines and am unable to ascertain what the projected wind gusts could be, making this application 'useless' as I have to keep referring to JTWC for a 'readable' version.

      Cheers

      @Filip_K

      That's excellent news, thanks very much for that.

      As I stated in my opening email, JWTC is the most accurate forecaster/tracker of H/T/C and is the one that I trust the most to give me warning of what's coming our way.

      Cheers

    • JTWC for Hurricane/Typhoon/Cyclone (H/T/C) tracking

      G'day, is there a chance that you could use JWTC for the 'default' H/T/C tracking as the other 3 options are not reliable enough to be able to make a decision whether to 'stay or leave' as their track is approx 45% 'way off course' compared to JWTC.

      In can state the above in all confidence as I have been living in Typhoon Alley (Philippines) now for 6 years and JWTC is the best to use for this region.

      Cheers

    • Not a bug report per se, but.....

      it's in relation to the "Hurricane" tracker, especially here in the NW Pacific region.

      You are using the JMA, BoMA and EMWCF models, however their 'accuracy' is questionable as all three when opened are different tracks and intensities (currently watching this 'live' with Nalgae blasting over the top of my house).

      The best option for the NW Pacific is actually JTWC. I've been using their observations and forecasts for over 5 years now and they are approximately 97% accurate, with 6 hourly updates on 'active' storms. As mentioned the 3 you are currently using are 'wildly' inaccurate and do not represent a 'true' account of what is happening and what is imminent. I've stopped using your hurricane tracker as IMO it's unreliable and inaccurate, so could give misleading (and potentially deadly) information.

      If this is not an option to implement please let me know so that I can cancel my subscription as I have no intention of paying for inaccurate data.

      Cheers
