      Greetings,

You have a very good product and I use it as a teaching tool but as with any product there are always a few bugs. Recently we had a large snowstorm here in southern New England USA on 2/22 to 2/23/26. The problem is with what appears on the graphic display of the weather prediction and what the hourly weather displays for a specific city or town shows. An example was during the prediction of the storm just before it struck . The graphic showed heavy snow over all of southern New England which was accurate. However, the hour to hour forecast graphic with the weather icons of snow, rain etc. showed heavy rain forecast for a specific town at the same time. This is not the first time I have observed this. The forecast of heavy rain in an obviously snow situation was quite striking! The graph depicting the area of snow was spot on, the hourly depiction was not. I wanted to bring this to your attention.

      Thank you for your efforts,

Art Horn Professor of Meteorology Connecticut State Tunxis USA

    • Snow flakes on radar images. Please take the snowflakes off the radar images. The flakes are obscuring what I want to see, the radar images.

Greetings, Please remove the snowflakes from the radar images. The flakes are not necessary. If I want radar data that's what I want to see, not some algorithm painting flakes where it thinks it's snowing. Please remove this feature from the radar maps as soon as possible. Thank you.

    • Snow flakes on radar

Please get the snowflakes off the radar display. The algorithm being used does not work. The observations show rain where the radar shows snow. Radar should just show RADAR not some attempt (a failed one) to show precipitation type.

    • Model update times

What happened to the model update times. There was an update that gave the time the new model run was updated. That appears to have gone away. Please restore it. Thank you.

    • RE: Windy 3D mode is back!

There is a problem with the night shading in the forecasts for individual towns and cities by day 5. Areas that are shaded to show night time are covering day time icons. It gets worse farther into the future.

Also a meteorological suggestion. You list high, medium and low clouds. To be meteorologically correct it should be high, middle and low clouds. There are no medium clouds.

Love the the 3D! Another parameter that would be of interest is vertical motion forecasts, showing where the air is moving up and down.

    • RE: Windy 3D mode is back!

      Greetings!

The 3D is much better for showing my students the proper perspective of the large scale meteorological features. I now use both the 2D for the high resolution views by zooming in and the weather forecasts from the different models, although I prefer to call them simulations. I think the general public gets a better idea of what they are by saying simulation. It's not someone walking down a runways showing off the new bathing ware.

It's a great product and very instructive as well as entertaining,
