Could you say if you use the Route planner on Windy website or in the mobile app ?

I guess you use the website.
First you need to set the speed and turn it ON. On the timeline, you can move and change the departure date/hour. Then hover the forecast panel to see the position of the mobile and to move it, weather conditions changing accordingly.

The round icon shows the mobile position, not a boat icon, because the Route planner is also used for flights.

In the mobile app, a long press on screen enable you to open a pop up. Select Distance & planning to make measurements.
In the browser version on desktop / laptop, right click on the mouse opens the same pop up. However the feature called Route planner does not only measure distances but allow to draw a route and to get the detailed future weather along the route.
Which type of device are you using ?
