In just a few clicks, you can map your entire route on Windy:

🔍 Zoom in on your starting point
📏 Click “Distance & Planning”
📍 Add waypoints or set your destination

🧭 Already Have a Route? Import It as a GPX File

Already have a route from another platform like Mapy.com? Just export it as a GPX file and import it to Windy. Your route will appear right on the map, overlaid with live weather data. You’ll instantly see wind, temperature, and precipitation for your whole trip. 🌬️🌡️🌧️

🚵‍♀️ Planning a hike or bike ride? Switch to Hiking/Car mode and scroll through the timeline to track how the weather changes.

📈 Want to check elevation or total distance? It’s all there, clear and interactive.

@jasons47 Windy relies on external data providers for station updates, and while some stations report more frequently, the update intervals unfortunately depend on when the data is made available to us.

Hi @dmcorsa 👋, for smoke density from wildfires, you can use the Aerosol layer. It shows particles like smoke and dust in the atmosphere. You can also try the CO concentration (carbon monoxide) layer, it’s often a good indicator of wildfire smoke spread too 🌫️
In the "display on map" section you can also check the "active fires" to see them on the map 📌

@Brandon-Lincoln Hi! Pinned layers are only stored locally on your device, so when moving to a different device you'll need to set them up again. Hope this helps 💡
