@Korina I do not even use widgets but recently started getting the same persistent notification reported above, and using the same version (Beta program FWIW). Specifically, the notification appears on device boot. After force closing the app it doesn't seem to come back. Something real is going on here, so it would be good to know that someone is taking this bug seriously. I'm happy to share logs and such.
