With isobars turned on, would love to be able to customize color of the isobar line (e.g. black, white, etc.) to be able to find a color where the isobars pop and have good contrast with the underlying layer (wind, temp, etc.). Right now, isobars are a gradient that appears to be loosely correlated to the default colors of the gradient pressure layer?
Wind speed legend shows default color scale rather than updating to match the custom color scale.
I'm always baffled by administrator response of, "we use weather models and their data, but fronts are made by metheorlogists and they are not a part of models that we have in our app." But Windy has a weather warnings map layer and the weather warnings data is NOT weather model data. The weather warnings are issued in real time by meteorologists and then that data is retrieved from wherever it lives and mapped to the windy UI (I realized I'm probably simplifying the data retrieval/mapping process but the point still stands).
I'd love to know if mapping weather fronts are either not a priority or if the issue is finding an appropriate data source/data sources that can be combined and mapped to the windy UI.

@Wheats Right. They 'draw' them and then the front data is available as an image file (without the map) that can be retrieved programatically or also available in other forms...example: text surface analysis bulletins from the Weather Prediction Center tha can be parsed programatically. Front data is available and competitors to Windy are mapping it so I'm interested in knowing from the Windy team why they choose not to. The reason is not because Windy only maps model data.

3D mode defaults to showing favorites (locations and favorite webcams) with no way to remove the favorite layer.
@idefix37 "Try and let us know"...lol. Park the attitude...moderator. The point is that windy does more than just display weather models so in theory, it could display fronts. It has nothing to do with whether or not weather models can. The message that you promote that Windy can't do it because they are plotted by meteorologists is not accurate. Windy could. On the topic of global coverage, does the Windy layer for Weather Warnings plotted by meteorologists cover the entire globe? No. So the same could be done for fronts for most of the globe using something like the NWS Ocean Prediction Centers fronts.
@idefix37 This has been a moderator standard reply and it is just plain wrong. Windy does not JUST display forecast models. For example, as you know, Windy has a layer called weather warnings which are issued by meteorologists on an as-needed basis and displayed in Windy. Weather front data (released every 3 hrs in the U.S. by meteorologists) is available just like the weather warnings data and could be displayed if the Windy team decided there was a way to integrate the various weather front data sources (i.e. U.S. National Weather Service, UK Met Office, etc.). This is not a question of if one day weather models will be smarter at predicting fronts. Even the forecast fronts are available and could be plotted. Just take a look at windy competitors that display current weather front data.
When selecting 3D view, my favorites (heart icon) and webcams (cam icon) from the quick menu show by default. I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but my thought is that nothing from the quick menu should show when I select 3D because the 3D view does not provide the functionality to click on the favorite icon nor the webcam icon. Screen shot below.
@korina But you already do display non-forecast model data! weather warnings! Weather warnings are not from any forecast model dataset so I don't understand why this 'non-forecast model data' is always the answer when fronts are brought up. Fronts are available in several other weather websites/apps (windy.app, radaromega are just two)and the fronts come via the weather services (e.g. NWS in the US, UK met office, etc). Please consider adding rather than saying you can't display it.
@korina Love windy, definitely best in class. On the issue of frontal analysis - my guess is that you are aware windy.app has the option to add fronts as a layer? Obviously it is not part of model output but something that maybe could be added as an layer to windy.com as well? Maybe using the Ocean Prediction Center's unified analysis (https://ocean.weather.gov/unified_analysis.php)? On this topic there are folks responding in the forum with a flat 'not possible' but I envision a frontal analysis layer comparable to 'Weather Warnings' layer that windy.com already offers, which is not model output but in the U.S., data put out by the National Weather Service (WPC, SPC, etc.). From what I've seen in the forums, this topic is dismissed without recognizing that the frontal data is in fact available in many areas of the world AND a competitor's product does a pretty good job of making the frontal layer available.
