It seems that you are using an old list of Synoptic stations in Canada causing erroneous location on your map, especially for “recycled” SYNO numbers. Please find below some station location errors caught in Canada.
Lots of SYNOs are not properly attributed… they belong to stations in Manitoba, British Columbia and Alberta... that’s why you can find a huge discrepancy in Temperatures with surrounding areas on your maps. There’s much more.. if you look at the color coded dots on the current map below
71632 should be for Lynn Lake, MB (CYYL) not for Britt, ON (WBI)
71272 should be for Tadoule Lake, MB (CYBQ) not for Beausoleil Island, ON
71290 should be for Mackenzie Airport, BC (CYZY) not Upper Rideau Lake, ON
71720 should be for Powell River, BC (CVOP), not Ste Agathe Des Monts, QC
71736 should be for Pincher Creek, AB (CPCK), not Roquemaure, QC
71920 should be for Baccaro Point, NS (CACP), not Cree Lake Meteorological Aerodrome
71102 should be for Riversourse AGCM, AB (CPRA), not Ethelda Bay, BC
71048 should be for Acadia Valley, AB (CPAC), not Virginia Falls, NU
71167 should be for Adson, AB (CYET), not Parter Lake, NU
71507 should be for Hawk Hill AGCM, AB (CPHW), not Yathkyed Lake Meteorological, NU
71168 should be for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA (CPSU), not Powder Lake, NU
71982 should be for Black Diamond, AB (CPBD), not Haldane River, NU
71154 Waterton Park Gate, AB latitude should be 49°08’ not 59°08’
