Apple iPad Pro, iOS 17.6.2, still not showing lightning or the ability to turn it on. As an offshore pilot that flies beyond radar range, this feature is wonderfully useful when overlayed on Satellite. Thank you for that. Since I'm already here and criticizing, the switch to Real from Blitzortnung added a lot of false positives to the screen, lightning where there are no clouds over WIDE swaths all across the northern coast of Australia. This may be a function of a small number of receivers to discriminate positions. We went from underrepresentation to way over, and I prefer the Blitz criteria. I'm not worried about a little storm, it's the embedded ones that will get me in trouble. Thank you sincerely, Windy community, for what you have produced. From a user of Intellicast 25 years ago, this the best, by far, representation of real time weather.

RE: Lightning
New to the chat scene, so please advise if I should start a new thread. Seemed appropriate to use this one.
Same as Carlager, I can't express how much I appreciate the lightning overlay that your site has provided for years. I am an offshore oil and gas pilot in the tropics, and lightning with the satellite view beyond the radar range is invaluable. Your composite radar imagery completely trounces the Aussie BOM radar images that pilots here default to (I'm a seppo that loved Intellicast back in the US 20 years ago).
Your recent change from Blitzortnung to Nowcast is causing some confusion as it shows much more lightning, but with no actual benefit. Where Blitz didn't show all strikes, it didn't show strikes where there were no storms, or even clouds. Nowcast seems spastic with open air strikes and saturates an image with strikes that obscures the radar or satellite image. Not really a complaint, but an observation that more isn't necessarily better.
You guys ROCK, so keep it up.
