@Suty Unfortunately, seems to be fine in some of your rivals apps such as, dare I say, Ventusky.

RE: Satellite outage over the North and South America (Sep 28)
Screenshot just clipped from my Windows 11 Chrome extension from Ventusky clearly working and showing sources as GOES and METEOSAT, so this is clearly a fault at the Windy end. Over the years as a premium subscriber I have found that when there is a problem it's always some considerable time before it's fixed.

RE: Android app default map layer.
Sorry Orrcra, I'm with Windy here. I fail to see the logic. Once in the app any layer of weather you want is just a click away. Having one layer of another would save you home much time? Half a second? Sheesh!

RE: Windy 39 is here. Learn how to masterclass new features
@Holoboss such as what? There really aren't that many apps of this calibre out there. That's why I'm devastated by the failure of the app I'm Android 14 beta 4.

RE: Satellite outage over the North and South America (Sep 28)
@Caefix Didn't I read somewhere recently that Windy had bought out Meteoblue. Can't be a coincidence surely. But this is a significant portion of the planet here and I would have thought they would have fixed this by now.

RE: Bresser Weather Station
@idefix37 This is my first PWS and obviously whilst I'm grateful for the gift as these things are not cheap but I've quickly come to realise that in certain aspects they are no more than "boys toys". Being all in one unit there is no way of getting the anemometer up to 10 metres. The unit is battery operated and anyway temperature and humidity sensors should not be at that height. Fun but not serious science!

RE: Widget not updating
@MarkNagy Battery already set to unrestricted. Still not updating automatically.

App not Working on Android 14 beta 4
It has now been 10 days since I reported that the App doesn't work on Android 14 beta 4. Even if you can get it to work by clearing storage it very quickly fails again. Yesterday afternoon Google dropped beta 4.1 which suggests the public release will be quite soon. That didn't fix anything. The app still doesn't work.
The developers have stopped responding to emails which suggests to me they're out of ideas. So comes the public release of Android 14 does this mean the end of the road for Windy?

Bresser Weather Station
I have been given a Bresser 5 in 1 weather station. Whilst I'm confident that the temperature, pressure, humidity and index are reasonably accurate I feel that the addition of an anemometer in these stations cannot hope to be anywhere near accurate in a domestic environment with surrounding buildings etc.
It would be impossible to mount the station anywhere near high enough for the anemometer to function correctly and even if this were possible the unit is battery powered making it even more implausible.
I see that others in this forum talk about these stations, but I assume you must all be lucky enough to live near open fields or something.
Any comments would be appreciated. I live in the UK by the way. My station is currently reporting a wind speed of 3.6 mph whilst the WMO station at Coningsby is reporting 17mph winds.
