I am logged into my account in both the iPhone App and web version however my settings and favorites don't seem to sync as I expected they would. Any thoughts? thanks

I have read alot of messages written about this on the blog but can't seem to get a clear answer on if you can create a new favorite by entering specific lat/lon coordinates? thanks
