@meteo-GR The thunderstorm and fog layers use the global ICON model from DWD. You can click on the clock icon just above the weather model select to see the model information. And because the global ICON model so far only has 2 layers and their experimental, the model is not included in the normal list of models to choose from.

RE: How accurate this windy.com is ?
@karlosgm Windy strives to be as accurate as possible. There are several different weather models available on Windy. The ECMWF is probably the most accurate. ICON EU is a new model introduced here a couple of months ago and can forecast most of Iceland. It is also very accurate. The GFS model is another good model but doesn't work too well in my part of the world. You might have a better experience with it in Iceland. Everybody has a different experience when using windy. So give different models a try and get used to the site to get the best results.
And wind gusts are already a feature on windy. Try clicking on the more layers button on the right layer menu, there should be a selection of many different layers where wind gusts should be near the top.
RE: Windy version 14 brings sharper map and better colors
@ivo I really like the new colours. And especially the new layers. Just wondering if more layers from ICON Global will be added later?
RE: Please fix temp, we need F° please!
@stowler1 I'm not sure what the problem is because I can switch between F and C on all my devices perfectly fine. Can you please help us out by checking your error console to see if anything is picked up? On the main Windy page, click on the menu button in the upper left-hand corner, then clicking on tools/menu, then click on error console. If there are any errors in there can you please either copy and past them here or take a screenshot and post them here so the devs can analyze it.
Small Error With NAM Resolution
Hello there, I have noticed for a while that the model resolution for NAM seems incorrect. In Meteogram view, NAM is showing 3km but everywhere else its showing 5km. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember Windy upgraded the NAM model to 3km a while ago. I feel like the problem happened around the same time as the ICON introduction. Also, the ECMWF resolution was a bit off as well but its fixed now.
RE: Compare Option
@Boeti At the moment, you can only compare forecasts of two locations if you save both as favourites. And then click on the menu button in the upper left-hand corner and click on the favourites tab. There you can see all of your top locations in Meteogram form. Currently, you cant compare model data of two locations at the same time, but that kind of thing might be added in the future.
China Meteorological Data Service Center
I found China's official data server to their weather models and radar and a few other things. I thought either the radar or their global and regional weather models might be cool to add eventually. All you have to do is sign up which seems like anybody can do then download the data.
