Winds aloft.
G’day.
I’m wondering why l can’t get wind for 8,500 and 9,500 ft
I find Windy a great tool for winds aloft.
l fly north @ 8,500
And south @ 9,500.
Windy can only tell me wind @ 6,500 or 10,000 as the closest altitude, and 500 ft can make a difference between a head wind or tail wind.
I usually climb and find out through indicated air speed, but it would be nice if l could plan for more accurate wind direction and speed. Also cloud base at different altitude in feet would be great benefit.
Over the years of using Windy l have found it to be incredibly accurate even a week in advance.
