@Suty said in Simplifed Chinese Translation Error:
@tomacat Hello and thank you for reporting this. I will discuss this with colleagues, it is possible that a wrong key was used in these abbreviations.
Translator missing the context, and misunderstanding the "S" "W" on here are stand for the day of week.
BTW, if you don't use Tor, can you access Windy from China without any problems?
@selverob Yes, I can. (Although it is a little bit slow) I just want to mask my IP address on this post. (Tor can also prove that even if someone is not in China.)
@tomacat HI, this was intentional change and the timeline is adjusted with the size of the display. So the desktop offers full description of each day and it is limited with the display getting more narrow.

AIFS is no longer available in Windy. It is replaced by the new IFS / HRES extended up to 15 days.
@tomacat I have an update for you, since the new Radar+ is new layer and it is using different visualization tech, there is a bug in parameter of direction to the sun. Thank you for reporting this, our colleague is already working on the fix.
@Filip_K said in Hurricane Tracker's update time isn't same as About These Data:
Hi @idefix37 and @tomacat, update time in hurricane tracker refers to when actual position of the storm was updated. We do have update times for each forecast, but it is currently not being displayed. These update times are planned for being displayed in the next development iteration of hurricane tracker.
Looking forward the update plan...
@idefix37 OK, I found out that ECWMF calls GAEMI 04W, but JWTC calls it 05W. This is what confuses me the most.

@tomacat
Yes, you are right. The Alert system in Windy only works with an “and” logic operator when you set 2 parameters like Wind and Rain.
“or” is not supported.
But I heard that Alerts will be shortly improved.
So the workaround is to set 2 Alerts at close locations. Remember that ECMWF model has a 9km resolution, so if your alert locations are 1km distant this is not important.

I know subtropical high is related to extremely hot weather and typhoons in the Western Pacific (where I live). So I am interested in the 5880 isoline🧐.
@Filip_K I don't know how open-meteo download CMA data. After quickly googling, I found the link https://data.cma.cn/data/cdcdetail/dataCode/F.0003.0008.S001.html, it said "only for education and research verified user access". It pretty hard to download the data than I thought :(
