For you it is so difficult to separate past data and future ones (forecasts) on the track ?
When 3 weather centers (NHC, ECMWF, MetOffice) predict a similar track for Beryl, you call that fortune-telling !

AIS (automatic identification system) is not “a fantastic weather system” as you state in your previous post. It just transmits the position of a ship to other ships, to stations along coastline and to satellites. This allows to some websites to give the information to everyone.
I don’t see how this a way to tell about the weather. Of course you can see that ships don’t cross a hurricane zone. It’s like looking people with umbrellas to say it’s raining.
