@idefix37 So whatever I choose from my favourites, no matter what the elevation they have, I should cosider that elevation as surface; is that correct?

Wind - correct elevation
Let´s say, the elevation of one of my favourite locations is 1.700 m AMSL. I choose it from the list and click on it, then I get the basic weather chart with weather, wind and so on, below the map. I click on the map and I get the weather picker (set up for wind) for the same location. My altitude bar is set to surface and the wind direction and speed at the picker are the same as those in the chart below (basic weather for the location at 1.700 AMSL). If I move the elevation bar and set it up e.g. to 2000 m, then there`s no change in basic weather chart, but the wind from the picker changes significantly. Now comes the question:
Is that the wind at the elevation of 2.000 m AMSL? Or...
Is that the wind at the elevation of 1.700 m AMSL (my favourite spot) + 2000 m = 3.700 m AMSL?
If the 2nd one is correct, should I take my elevation of 1.700 AMSL as my surface?
Help me understand that! THX in advance!
