In desktop version I don't see any settings with a new update:

In the new version of Windy, the option to always display the 1-hour forecast appears to have been removed.

Now, every time I open the forecast, it defaults to the 4-hour interval, and I have to manually switch it back to 1h. This becomes frustrating when you use Windy frequently, especially for short-term weather monitoring.

The previous setting that allowed users to always use the 1-hour forecast was very convenient.

This small feature made the app much more efficient for those of us who rely on hourly forecasts.

Return 1H forecast toggle always! I want every time see 1h forecast! It was a setting before! Why you removed it? Return it back!

I would really like an option for US cities to show the forecast starting from the current hour instead of the next full hour.

For example, if it is currently 3:00 PM in Austin, the forecast starts at 4:00 PM, so I cannot see how the temperature is expected to change during the current hour. This makes short-term temperature tracking more difficult, especially on rapidly warming or cooling days.

It would be very useful to include the current hour in the forecast timeline.

I’ve noticed a small but quite important usability issue when looking at “current conditions” vs model time steps.

Problem

When viewing models for USA cities like - https://www.windy.com/multimodel/33.640/-84.810?33.640,-84.810,8

For example, at 16:00 local time, the interface may immediately show 17:00 as the active forecast step instead of reflecting a clearer “current hour” view or interpolated current conditions.

This makes it harder to quickly understand:

what conditions are happening right now
whether we are before or after a temperature peak
how current observations relate to model output
Why it matters

For users doing short-term forecasting (aviation, weather trading, outdoor planning, etc.), the difference between:

“now (16:00)”
and “next model step (17:00)”

can be confusing, especially when the UI jumps forward rather than anchoring to the current hour.

Suggestion

It would be very helpful to have an option such as:

“Lock timeline to current hour”
or “Show interpolated current conditions between model steps”

Even a simple UI indicator like “NOW (16:00)” separate from model steps would improve clarity a lot.
