Mixing two topics here - one is my failed attempt to pay with credit card. I would say ditch this topic, I will "try again later" (eh) or will open another thread about it.

The other topic is about Bitcoin payments. That's the OP. I understand that automatic renewal cannot work with Bitcoin. The one time payment can work just fine and would be an excellent addition to an already excellent Windy.

Thinking about it - automatic renewal is flawed also with credit cards, if we consider virtual one-time cards. A user can use a one-time card and get the lower price and choose automatic renewal and the renewal will never work after 1 year.

I have been deferring a subscription because it is not possible to pay with Bitcoin. Today I decided to subscribe with card regardless. But I am unable to go premium because card payment gives me "We are unable to take payment at this time. Please try again, or use a different payment method", tried more than one card.

Can you please reconsider adding Bitcoin payment option?

Yes, I mean Bitcoin address. Bitcoin does not support (yet!) sending money to street names :)

The advantage is that if other people do the same, the owner will be able to use others' data.

If you think "hey, the data is public, anybody can use it" - yes, but the fact that others are using it does not make it less of an advantage for the owner - it is still the same data.

Behave as if others would do the same. Maybe you publishing would trip somebody else to publish too?

I am glad Ivo did not ask himself "What are the advantages for me if I create a publicly accessible and free of charge windy.com?" when he started the project.
