      @anthony10
      Hey champ, how did you go with the investigation?
      I also saw the difference, but to be honest the initial forecasts were pretty similar but as you went out to say 72 hrs they diverged a lot. As you know initial parameters that vary by minimal amounts when extrapolated diverge greatly
      over time (the butterfly effect) . Also a bug , when switching from any other model to Access C syd over 24hrs to compare , the Access C Syd reverted to a 0500 timestamp. Anyway I was watching our local (hunter region ) weather to compare models today and apart from overestimating rain rates, the Access C Syd nailed the path and time of rainfall. Pretty impressed . Cheers!

      I totally second this and so will a lot of other Aussie users (when they see it is added :) )
      @Suty
      Thanks to all of the Windy team.!!
      Amazing addition especially in the midst of this current weather pattern. I am in the Hunter region NSW and after reviewing the C vs G model it is awesome. Will be very interesting to compare models today with severe thunderstorms predicted.
      I would suggest an announcement to let all of the Aussie users know.
      Kind Regards
      Gary

    • RE: Satellite outage over the North and South America (Sep 28)

      Hi All,
      For the last couple of days the satellite screen has been constantly stuck in a supposed loading loop, ie: the 3 white circular loading indicators just keep appearing. I am on Chrome(latest) and win 10 (latest update) and use Starlink , so it is not the connection. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Radar is fine as are everything else I have checked.
      Kind Regards,
      Gary

    • No MADIS station Data

      Seems like since AM EST time we have had no MADIS data reported.
      Can someone please investigate as this leaves huge holes in the reports.

      Hopefully if we keep upvoting this someone will see it.
      It is 0752 UTC , I am in Australia, using chrome and starlink, No Rain ACC data. Been apparent here for at least 7 hours.
      Please guys, fix this :)

    • RE: The radar wobbles

      @Suty Thank you, that will certainly help. We have had very severe storms here in NSW Australia the last few days and the existing "slider" has been a total pain.
      Hopefully the algorithm that controls this prediction will improve, is it an output from an LLM ?
      I tried it this afternoon in the midst of a severe thunderstorm outbreak and it seems to be better than it was several days back. Also the juddering of the live (current ) radar had improved, so I live in hope :)

    • RE: The radar wobbles

      I really hope the programmers can implement an option to turn off this "future radar" Honestly it is not an improvement at all and as other have said it makes the whole process painful to use. Surely it cant be that difficult to disable this.
