    • RE: How to read Waves and Tides display

@idefix37 Thanks, I am surprised. Howcome the tide hours are wrong? You mean because they are in "Zulu/GMT" time zone? Otherwise I would presume the times are correct.

    • How to read Waves and Tides display

      Greetings,
I struggle to understand the Waves and Tides display which you can use by clicking on "Wave&Tide" at the bottom of the screen (I use the web browser).

To illustrate, here is a screenshot for Cuxhaven of thursday, July 3rd:
      windy.png

So first about the arrows on the map with the circle. I understand that the wind arrow corresponds with the 9 knots in the row "Wind". But what is "Swell" and "Swell 2"? It is mentioning minutes and seconds? Is this mentioned in the table below, too, or what does it mean?

Also about the tides data: I would expect that there is a low tide at 23:37Z. If the "Z" means Zulu, then this should be 2:37 a.m. at middle european summer time. Is this correct? Is there a way to change the time format to normal european times, since I do not care about Zulu time and would find it very confusing and annoying. I have already checked in the settings to have "Display all times in UTC" set to disabled.

Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated.

    • RE: Interpreting the clouds overlay

@Gkikas-LGPZ Thanks for the help! But I think I do not get that crosshair, see screenshot (I use the firefox browser, not the app):

On the left side of the screen it just says webcam vicinity etc. so that cannot be it. Could you help please?

    • Interpreting the clouds overlay

For many map overlays I am missing some kind of legend that explains what the colors mean.

For example, this is a overlay on a map of the dutch coast:
      Capture.PNG

What does the shades of whiteness mean? Are the blue areas where there is percipitation? Then this is also some greenish areas, what do those mean?

      Thanks for any help!

    • How to show clouds and precipitation

I like Windy to show both cloud coverage and precipitation (ideally also thunderstorms at dots) at the same time as I am used from another website. To illustrate, here is a screenshot:
      Capture.PNG

I wish this to be an overload to the wind layer. I already had a look at the menu but was unsuccessful.
      Any help is appreciated!

    • How to set an alarm for conditions without rain?

I like to create an alarm for a location to do watersports and I dislike rain. Cloudy weather is fine though. How would I set the alarm up? Under the rain tab I can only set a minimum amount of percipitation, so setting a maximum of zero percipitation is not possible, it seems.

      Any help is appreciated!
