How can I hold a view of the whole Pacific Ocean in order to see storms below New Zealand moving East along Antarctica, then all the way up to Alaska.

When I try and do that the image snaps back showing a much smaller area so I can't see the relationship between the wind fetch and let's say South California to determine possible swells that could be brewing.

Hope someone understands what I'm asking about!
