@idefix37 I'm sorry, I didn't know that adding weather systemcauses would require human meteorologists to analyze every event globally. I thought it was something the app could do automatically.
Thank you for explaining that to me! I understand now why it's not feasible. I really appreciate the work you and the Windy team do.
I hope my first suggestion about tiered rain alerts (light/moderate/heavy) is still possible though!
Thanks again for your time and patience!

Why do you duplicate your post? There is no reason for that as you can edit your first post if you want to change some words.Hi! These are two different feature requests, not duplicates. The first is about tiered rain alerts (light/moderate/heavy). The second is about showing the weather system cause (Habagat, ITCZ, etc.) in notifications. They're related but separate suggestions. Thank you!

Other Live Alert Raining Systems
Hi Windy Team!
I love the Live Alerts feature! I have a suggestion to make it even more helpful:
Could you add the weather system cause to rain alert notifications? For example:
š§ Heavy Rain - Caused by the Habagat | Heavy rain starts in the next hour
Or:
š§ Heavy Rain - Caused by ITCZ | Heavy rain starts in the next hour
Or:
š§ Heavy Rain - Caused by Typhoon Bavi outer bands | Heavy rain starts in the next hour
This would help users understand whether the rain is from a normal weather pattern (like Habagat or Easterlies) or a more dangerous system (like a typhoon or shearline), allowing better preparation and less panic.
Also, please add separate alert tiers for light and moderate rain with gentler notifications!
Thank you for the amazing app! -
Live Alerts Suggestion
Hi Windy Team!
I love the new Live Alerts feature! It's super helpful for tracking storms in the Philippines.
However, I have a suggestion: Could you add separate Live Alert tiers for light, moderate, and heavy rain?
Right now, the Heavy Rain Alert only triggers for intense rainfall. But I'd love to get gentler notifications for:š¤ļø Light rain (just a heads up, no rush)
š¦ļø Moderate rain (grab an umbrella!)
š§ļø Heavy rain (take cover now!)
This would help users like me prepare for daily weather without the panic of an evacuation-level alert every time.
Also, please fix the "Hurricane Watch" label for western Pacific storms - it should say "Typhoon Watch" for areas like the Mariana Islands and Philippines!
Thank you for the amazing app!
