@idefix37 Now I see. Instead of holding and dragging, you click to create a waypoint on the line then when you hover over that new waypoint you can move it.

Re: How to use a route planner
Dragging a route (as in Google Maps) would be very useful for both aviation planning and car/hiking planning. If I want to investigate the terrain on a proposed route Perhaps I just haven't learned how to add a point within the existing points on my plan.
It would also be very useful to be able to snap the route to a road or trail on the map. In other words, create a start and end point on a road or trail and have the route between follow the twists and turns of the road or trail.
